"Of a Feather"

Price: $12

Description: A taupe crelly filled with gold/copper/green shifting crystal chameleon flakes, gold/green & aqua/green crystal flakes and copper shimmer flecks. Shown here in 3 thin coats, plus gloss and matte top coats. This is stand alone polish and will be available for at least 3 months.

Thoughts: This polish is gorgeous! It applies easily and beautifully. The base sits in between a dusty grey and brown, and all the flakes packed in there make this polish perfect fall or winter. The subtle copper shimmer is a perfect addition as well. I absolutely love the look of this one matte! So much so, that I've actually been wearing it on my right hand for the last week and truly don't want to take it off!

November's Creme of the Month

"Gone Squatchin'"

Price: $8

Description: A warm brown creme. Shown here in a single coat with no top coat to show natural gloss finish, and with matte top coat. I've also incorporated it into a cute stamped look. This polish will be available for at least 3 months. In addition to "Gone Squatchin'", I used "Sent You a Nude" (a gifted custom creme) from Heather's Hues, "Luxe" from Orly, and UberChic's Woodland Chic 2 stamping plate for the bee design. I did use Night Owl's "It Mustard Been Love" for the fill color of the bees, but it didn't stand out enough over the nude base, so I just stamped over it with "Luxe." I'm very happy with the end result!

Thoughts: This has proved to be another phenomenal Night Owl creme! Lindsay continues to make my favorite, go-to, single-coat creme polishes, and I'm just so glad to see an essential chocolaty brown added to the repertoire. The bottle I received did have a tiny pinch of shimmer contamination that may be able to be seen in some of swatch photos. I reported this to Lindsay and hope that it was only my bottle.

Falltivities Collection

"Dancing in the Moonlight"

Price: $9 individually | $48 for full collection

Description: A midnight blue jelly with various sizes of navy holographic glitter. Shown here in 3 coats, plus gloss and matte top coats.

Thoughts: This is such a beautiful, deep blue jelly. It definitely captures the look of a starry night sky. The glitters float in the translucent jelly and create so much dimension. I did think this formula sat on the thicker side, making thin coats a bit difficult without overworking the polish. This is an easy fix though, since adding a few drops of thinner would fix it right up!

"Favorite Flannel"

Price: $12 individually | $48 for full collection

Description: A dark purple filled with purple/burgundy/red/bronze/gold shifty crystal chameleon flakes and charcoal sparkle micro flakies. Shown here in 3 thin coats, plus gloss and matte top coats.

Thoughts: This polish is simply stunning! It sits on the sheer side, but the densely packed flakes create very nice coverage and depth with each thin coat. I did have a tiny bit of light pink staining left behind, but not enough to worry about.

"Lost in the Corn Maze"

Price: $11 individually | $48 for full collection

Description: A mustard yellow crelly with a strong red/gold shimmer. Shown here in 3 thin coats, plus gloss and matte top coats.

Thoughts: This formula is perfection! It shows a few light brush strokes, but they are easily straightened out and not an issue. It's not often a yellow polish stands out to me, but something about the simplicity of this one is beautiful.

"Roasting Marshmallows"

Price: $9 individually | $48 for full collection

Description: A white crelly with a copper shimmer and various sizes of copper holographic glitter. Shown here in 3 coats, plus gloss and matte top coats.

Thoughts: I absolutely love the look of this one! All those copper glitters and shimmer hit toasted marshmallows right on the head! Like "Dancing in the Moonlight" above, I did think the formula sat a bit on the thicker side, and could benefit from a few drops of thinner.

"Serenity"

Price: $12 individually | $48 for full collection

Description: A multichrome that shifts olive green/forest green/teal. Shown here in 3 thin coats, plus gloss and matte top coats.

Thoughts: This polish applied very easily, sitting on the sheer side, but with coverage building nicely with each coat. Any visible brush strokes were very light and easily straightened out. I did a quick comparison to Night Owl's "Witchy Ways," last October's Falloween Polish Lover's group custom polish. While I found them to be somewhat similar, side by side, they are definitely different. "Serenity" has larger particles, is less prone to brush strokes, and the primary shift is more of a forest green compared to the more emerald green of "Witchy Ways."

Again, all these beauties are set to release Friday, October 23rd, at 6:00pm Mountain Time (8:00pm Eastern Time), at nightowllacquer.com!
