Summer is nearly upon us down here in Georgia, which means warm evenings of captivating sunsets over the lake are just around the corner. The 'Neon Sunset' collection from Night Owl Lacquer consists of three neon cremes and one sparkly topper that manage to perfectly capture the vivid colors of twilight made by mother nature herself, along with the delicate twinkling of light reflecting off the water. Also, the COTM (creme of the month) is back for June! It is a go-to, tranquil blue that not only stamps, but also pairs nicely with this collection, creating beautiful contrast against the warm tones. Night Owl makes some of, if not the absolute best, cremes I've ever used, so I was sooo excited to be able to test these out! I was able to use these polishes together to create an easy, beachy sunset look that's perfect for summer! These wonderful polishes will all be available on Friday, May 29th, at 6:00pm MST only at nightowllacquer.com!

The 'Neon Sunset' Collection

"Glowing, Glowing, Gone"

Price: $7.00 individually - $31.00 full collection (3 cremes + topper)

Description: A neon orange leaning yellow creme. Pictured here in 2 coats with no top coat to show natural gloss finish, with matte top coat, and topped with one coat of "Fading Light" plus gloss top coat. Thoughts: This creme applies silky smooth with beautiful opacity. This shade definitely leans yellow, but definitely has orange tones to it. It instantly reminded me of the yellow-orange powdered cheese that comes in Kraft Mac & Cheese. Let's just say, it made me hungry. lol.

"Slowly Sinking"

Price: $7.00 individually - $31.00 full collection (3 cremes + topper)

Description: A neon peach leaning orange creme. Pictured here in 2 coats with no top coat to show natural gloss finish, with matte top coat, and topped with one coat of "Fading Light" plus gloss top coat.

Thoughts: Again, easy and smooth application with beautiful opacity. This shade is a perfect pumpkin orange, with a vivid neon touch. If you are in need of a go-to orange for any nail art purposes, this shade is the one for you.

"Final Fire"

Price: $7.00 individually - $31.00 full collection (3 cremes + topper)

Description: A neon red orange creme. Pictured here in 2 coats with no top coat to show natural gloss finish, with matte top coat, and topped with one coat of "Fading Light" plus gloss top coat.

Thoughts: This is my personal favorite of these cremes. Same easy and smooth application as the others with the same beautiful opacity. It is a true safety orange that just has a glow of its own, standing out beautifully. I ended up being able to wear this color for a few days and am pleased to report that I was left with no staining. 10 out of 10 from me.

"Fading Light"

Price: $11.00 individually - $31.00 full collection (3 cremes + topper)

Description: A clear based topper filled with pink red/yellow shimmer and 3 different color shifting crystal chameleon flakes in shades of the sunset. Pictured here as 3 standalone coats with gloss top coat, as a single coat over the three 'Neon Sunset' cremes plus gloss top coat, and as a single over black plus gloss and matte top coats.

Thoughts: The beautiful colors of the sunset are perfectly captured in this topper. It applies nice and smooth, evenly distributing the flakes which lay perfectly flat. It is just so shifty and twinkly when it catches the light. While it adds beautiful sparkle to any color, I absolutely love this topper over black. Whether gloss or matte, you can really see all the beautiful shifty iridescence packed in there.

June's Creme of the Month

"Feeling Blue Without You"

Price: $7.00

Description: A mid toned blue creme. Pictured here as a single coat with no top coat to show natural gloss finish, along with matte top coat. Also shown is an up-close look at the stamping shown below.

Thoughts: Another perfect creme from Night Owl. I'm so glad to see the COTM make a return, as they never disappoint. This single coater blue applies so easily, it nearly applies itself. It even stamps beautifully with no issues at all, making it perfect for use in any nail art.

Sponge Gradient Mani

I was able to easily create this gradual gradient look using a sponge, the 3 'Neon Sunset' cremes, and a white base. The neons perfectly fade into each other, creating seamless transitions from one color to the next. Adding gloss top coat even further blends the colors into a perfect gradient. Using a semi-circle vinyl sticker, I made the setting sun with a white creme, then used "Feeling Blue Without You" for the water and stamped palm tree. I added a bit of texture to the sun's reflection in the water by using the dry brushing technique with a mixture of the blue and white. I finished the look off with a coat of "Fading Light" and a gloss top coat.

Again, these wonderful polishes featured above will all be available on Friday, May 29th, at 6:00pm MST only at nightowllacquer.com!
