*Products shown here were provided to me as press samples in exchange for photos and feedback. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*

Amanda of Cuticula Scented Nail Care and Nichole of The Crafty Taco have teamed up to bring you a festive trio that is sure to accentuate your sparklers and BBQ this Independence Day! The Red, White, & Blue Trio consists of one flakie crelly polish, one holo flakie topper, and one hand-painted adjustable ring. There will be a few different buying options available for these, all of which are listed below with each individual item. Please note that this sale is not a pre-order, so there will be a limited amount of rings/full trios available. Because of this, the makers are hoping for a second release later on. Along with the Red, White, & Blue Trio comes a restock of past SPrinkle, "Elaine," one of the polishes featured in the ring. The sale of the trio is being hosted by Cuticula, so all products mentioned will be available for purchase on Thursday, June 11th, at 8:00am PST at cuticulanailtape.com!

"Spangled"

Price: $9.00 individually; $16.00 for polish duo; $22.00 for full set (2 polishes and ring) Description: "Spangled" is a white crelly with blue, red, and silver metallic flakes. Shown here in 3 thin coats, plus 2 coats of Cuticula's Limitless QDTC, and Cloud Cover matte top coat. Also shown is a fun star stamping look using Cuticula's "Cherry Slush" and "Blue Velvet," both of which have been topped with 2 coats of "Firecracker Crush," which is featured next! Thoughts: The formula sits on the thinner side, but application is easy and coverage builds nicely. Needing 3 coats for opacity actually allows for a generous distribution of flakes that help to create depth. I love the look of this one matte as well, as the metallic nature of the flakes still shines through beautifully. The flakes are the stiffer type, so while they distribute nicely, a few may stick out, leaving "pokey flakies." I found applying 2 coats of top coat helped to smooth these "pokey" spots out nicely. As I always suggest for any polish with larger flakes or glitters, shake in between coats for maximum flakie goodness!

"Firecracker Crush"

Price: $9.00 individually; $16.00 for polish duo; $22.00 for full set (2 polishes and ring)

Description: "Firecracker Crush" is a festive mix of red, blue, and silver holographic flakes in a clear base. It is a sister to Cuticula's original and incredibly loved "Candy Crush" topper. Shown in skittles mani fashion from pointer to pinky: 2 coats over "Cherry Slush," 2 coats over "Blue Velvet," a sponged-on standalone look, and 2 coats over a white creme base, each with 2 coats of Limitless QDTC. Also shown here as 2 standalone coats over Cuticula's Mic Drop Base Coat, plus 2 coats of Limitless QDTC, and Cloud Cover matte top coats.

Thoughts: This topper applied easily, with a nice distribution of flakes. I found 2 coats to be the magic number, but if you'd like a lighter touch of flake, one coat would do you just fine. I believe my favorite base that I tried for this polish was "Blue Velvet." Each of the different colored flakes just show so perfectly over it. I've always been a fan of a good sponged-on glitter/flake encrusted nail, and was so glad to see it work out so nicely with this polish! And same as with "Spangled" above, 2 coats of top coat really helped with any "pokey flakies."

"Jubilant Sparkle"

Price: $7.50 individually; $22.00 for full set (2 polishes and ring)

Description: "Jubilant Sparkle" is a hand-painted adjustable ring from The Crafty Taco. It features a 12mm glass cabochon that has been hand-painted using Cuticula's "Spangled," "Cherry Slush," and "Elaine," then set in an adjustable silvertone brass-based setting. The adjustable band is brass based, and lead and nickel free. Each ring will be different and unique in it's own way, as they are painted from start to finish individually by hand. I used the polishes featured in the ring to create a smoosh look that can be seen in some of these photos along side "Spangled" topped with "Firecracker Crush."

Thoughts: It's not too often you see such nice jewelry made to celebrate the 4th of July, but this couldn't be more fun and perfect for the occasion. The metallic shimmers from "Cherry Slush" are just stunning swirled into "Elaine" and "Spangled." The adjustable band is absolutely wonderful for folks with baby fingers like mine. The band feels very high quality, and I was able to easily adjust it back and forth between my size 5 ring finger and my size 8 thumb without any sort of warping of the bands shape.

"Elaine"

Price: $11.50

Description: "Elaine" is a one coat sapphire blue with sparkling flakes and silver holographic pigment throughout. My four finger swatch photos show 2 very thin coats of "Elaine" plus Limitless and Cloud Cover top coats, but my photos showcasing the stamping show a single coat swatch plus Limitless QDTC.

Thoughts: This is a super pigmented polish that is definitely a single coater. I used 2 coats in my swatches because I thought I had a couple thinner spots, but it really wasn't necessary. It stamps effortlessly, looking absolutely stunning over both black and white. This previous SPrinkle of the Month was initially released in October 2019, and created to as a loving tribute to honor the memory of Amanda's Nanny, Elaine. As one of the three polishes used in the "Jubilant Sparkle" ring, Amanda thought it was only fitting to restock this sapphire beauty.

Again, the sale of the trio is being hosted by Cuticula, so all products mentioned above will be available for purchase on Thursday, June 11th, at 8:00am PST at cuticulanailtape.com!
